One thing to note though, if you get a new M18 WIndrunner or  Upgrade your Old M96 to a new Bibod System.  They are the last Bipod Configuration the Old Man went with, he designed it himself - like the 4th design. But now on all the Old Windrunners and new ones I made the legs go up and down, and they are on a longer 10 inch 7/8 Chromoly Rod and they pivot. You can see it in this picture.
If you opt for a Shroud on your Old M96 the Bipod cannot be attached to it, it's just not strong enough - only good for a Night Vision in front of Scope like Star Light  Star Bright etc.

Note: Adding a Shroud we mount it to the Barrel Nut. In doing so if you add a bipod to the shroud it induces harmonics into the barrel - since the Barrel Nut  touches the Barrel. All accuracy is jeopardized. 

And Of course I always say, all I do it make Bipods. Sure seems like it.
